Sand trap pebble

Sand trap pebble are movable obstructions that can be removed without penalty.

Areas under maintenance (rule 25) include:

A. areas marked with blue poles
B. areas marked with a white or blue paint ring
C. turf seams (rules, page 145)
D. gravel-covered French drains
E. deep water gutters around sand traps

Immovable obstructions near the green

When the ball is on the fairway and the immovable obstruction is at a distance of no more than two club lengths from the edge of the green, and the ball is no more than two club lengths from the immovable obstruction, which is located on the fairway between the ball and the hole, the player is allowed to take relief from the interference as follows:

The ball must be picked up and dropped in a location that (a) is not closer to the hole, (b) reliefs the player of the interference and (c) is not located in an obstruction or the green.

When the ball is on the green and the immovable obstruction is located two club lengths from the edge of the green and on the player's putting line, the player is allowed to take relief from the interference as follows:

The ball must be picked up and dropped in a place that (a) is not closer to the hole, (b) reliefs the player of the interference and (c) is not located in an obstruction.

The ball can be cleaned when it is picked up.

Distance measuring devices

Players are allowed to acquire distance data on the Linna Golf course by using a distance measuring device. If the player uses such distance measuring device for evaluating or measuring any other playing conditions for the player's benefit (changes in elevation, wind speed, etc.), this constitutes a violation of rule 14-3.

Penalty for violation of club rules:

Match play > Loss of hole
Stroke play > Two strokes
